Event Overview
An afternoon of hands-on experiments, interactive demonstrations, and fun activities all in one! We helped children learn how physics could be used to solve various problems, challenging them to apply new ideas and creativity to their models.
Our activities and demonstrations included:
- Egg Drop – Prevent the egg from breaking after being dropped from a high distance by using the materials given.
- Dish Soap Boat Race – A piece of paper boat racing in a tank of water at a faster speed when dish soap is applied to the back.
- Submarine Simulation – Modeled simulation using a bottle, a tube, and an injector to mimic how submarines work.
- Hairdryer & Ping Pong Ball – A ping pong ball is placed above a hair dryer, which blows it up into the air.
- Balloons Defying Gravity – Rubbing the balloons against your hair makes the strands stick to the balloons.
